Perry Lefko is a multiple award-winning writer and multiple best-selling author. He worked in the Toronto Sun sports department for 21 years and later worked at Sportsnet for five years. He has been writing automotive-related articles since 2014 and credits Norris McDonald for being a good friend and mentor. Perry is a regular writer for Automotive News Canada and has been affiliated with the Canadian International Autoshow since 2015 in various capacities, including writing and organizing panel discussions. In addition to his automotive stories, Perry also writes for the Canadian Football League Players Association, Thoroughbred Daily News and Peel Region Review. Among the persons he has written books about are Bret Hart, Doug Flutie, Pinball Clemons, Sandy Hawley and curlers Sandra Schmirler and Colleen Jones. He is in the process of collaborating with former National Hockey League player Eddie Olczyk on his autobiography that will be released in the fall of 2019 and is published by Triumph. Perry has won five Sovereign Awards for writing on Canadian thoroughbred horse racing. His interests are music, especially from the '70s, and occasionally singing. More than anything, however, he loves to write stories.
